About the Role

As a Mental Health Clinician, you'll provide comprehensive assessment, intervention and care coordination for young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health concerns.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive mental health and biopsychosocial assessments
• Completing suicide risk and safety assessments
• Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions
• Developing collaborative care plans with young people and their families
• Coordinating care with internal and external stakeholders
• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and reporting requirements
• Participating in multidisciplinary case discussions and clinical review
• Supporting a recovery-oriented, youth-friendly and culturally safe service

About You

We're looking for an experienced clinician who is passionate about youth mental health and enjoys working within a multidisciplinary environment.

You'll bring:

• Experience providing evidence-based mental health assessment and therapeutic interventions
• Confidence working with young people experiencing a range of mental health presentations
• Strong risk assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
• High-quality clinical documentation and time management skills
• A collaborative approach and commitment to culturally safe practice
• Flexibility and resilience to work within a regional community

Essential Qualifications

Psychologists

• Current unrestricted General Registration with AHPRA
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Medicare Provider Number
• Clinical endorsement (or working towards endorsement) is highly regarded

Accredited Mental Health Social Workers

• Bachelor degree or higher in Social Work
• Current membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
• Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AMHSW) status
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Medicare Provider Number

Mental Health Social Workers

• Bachelor degree or higher in Social Work
• Current membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)

Mandatory Requirements

• Current Queensland C Class Driver Licence
• Current Blue Card (or ability to obtain)
• National Police Check
• Willingness to travel, including overnight stays in remote communities
• Ability to travel by road and small aircraft when required
